I grew up in Grand Haven, Michigan a little city on Lake Michigan. From 1979-1980 I was an exchange student to the Bundes Republik Deutschland (W. Germany), and I lived in an eastern suburb of Hamburg called Braak in Schleswigh Holstein. Though it was basically a very tiny village, you could take a bus and a train and within 45 minutes or so be in downtown Hamburg.
I attended The University of Michigan and received a BS in computer science. I then worked at Westinghouse Electric Corporation (no longer exists) and pursued (and received) a masters degree in computer science from The Johns Hopkins University.
From 1989 until 2001 I worked at Lucent Technologies until their fourth round of Weakest Link that year. While there I worked on and received a black belt from the Universal Taekwon Do Federation, Langlas Academy.
I attend St. John's Episcopal Church in Naperville, Illinois (where I live) and currently play in the chime choir.
